IVANS Honored with Three Industry Awards For Its Expertise In Agency-Company Interface Automation Technology

Company Recognized at 2011 ACORD Implementation Forum for Supporting the Evolution of Agent-Carrier Communications

IVANS, Inc., the largest insurance data exchange in the United States for more than 28 years, was honored last night with three awards at the 2011 ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) Implementation Forum:

Property and Casualty Round Trip of Data
Property and Casualty Most Actively Involved with ACORD
ACORD-User Group Information Exchange (AUGIE) Commercial Lines Download

These awards were given by ACORD in recognition for IVANS long-time commitment to the insurance industry and for improving agent-carrier communications through IVANS Carrier Exchange? (ICE), a secure and seamless data exchange platform trusted by over 350 carriers and 30,000 agents nationwide.

?I congratulate IVANS on winning these awards. They continue to raise the bar each year, and through their leadership and ongoing development and implementation of innovative real-time and download solutions, they demonstrate how essential ACORD data standards are for our industry,? said Lloyd Chumbley, vice president of standards, ACORD.

Real-time and download technology continue to generate significant benefits for both carriers and agents, and commercial lines download, in particular, has been gaining traction in the insurance industry. Clare DeNicola, president and CEO of IVANS, Inc. said, ?We have seen a consistent increase in the agent use of both real-time and download as more carriers leverage these technologies to make it easier for their agents to do business with them. In fact, 88 percent of carriers now downloading either personal or commercial lines of business are using IVANS Carrier Exchange.?

An expert in ACORD standards with five ACORD Certified Experts (ACE) designees, IVANS has more than 195,000 agent-carrier connections and manages more than nine million insurance transactions monthly on IVANS Carrier Exchange. The Company supports 41 agency management vendor systems, more than anyone in the industry, and continues to expand its advanced managed communication platform between industry partners through its ICE platform. Additionally, according to IVANS 2011 Carrier Automation Trends study, 25 percent of carriers surveyed plan to implement commercial lines download technology over the next 12 months.

DeNicola said, ?In today?s competitive marketplace, carriers are looking at agency-company interface solutions as a way to grab marketshare and maximize larger technology investments all the way through their agent channels, so I expect real-time and download to continue growing at a steady pace in 2012. This is an exciting time for IVANS and insurance automation, and we look forward to working with ACORD and our other industry partners to further advance electronic data exchange capabilities for the insurance industry in the future.?

IVANS was honored at an awards ceremony on Thursday, November 3 during the 2011 ACORD Implementation Forum (http://www.acord.org/aif) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since 1997, ACORD has been acknowledging organizations that embrace standards to improve data communications and workflow efficiency save money and expand trading partner opportunities.
